Greet and Welcome Customers: As a cannabis receptionist, your primary responsibility is to provide a warm and friendly welcome to customers as they enter the cannabis dispensary. You will greet them with a smile, ensure they feel comfortable, and create a positive first impression.
Handle Customer Inquiries: Answer questions and provide accurate information about cannabis products, strains, dosage, and consumption methods. Assist customers in understanding different product options, effects, and potential benefits. You should be knowledgeable about the various cannabis regulations and guidelines to address any concerns or inquiries.
Check Identification and Validate Age: Verify the legal age and identity of customers before allowing them to enter the dispensary or make purchases. Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding age restrictions and identification requirements.
Maintain a Clean and Organized Front Desk: Keep the reception area tidy, organized, and visually appealing. Arrange promotional materials, brochures, and product displays in an attractive manner. Ensure that all necessary forms, documents, and supplies are readily available.
Provide Excellent Customer Service: Strive to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for all visitors. Be attentive, patient, and understanding when dealing with customer inquiries, complaints, or requests.
Maintain Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest cannabis products, strains, and industry trends. Be familiar with the effects, uses, and potential interactions of different cannabis products to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Collaborate with Dispensary Staff: Coordinate with budtenders, inventory managers, and other dispensary staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate customer preferences, feedback, and concerns to the appropriate team members for better customer service.
Adhere to Compliance Regulations: Follow all legal and regulatory guidelines related to the cannabis industry, including age verification, product handling, packaging, and record-keeping. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy laws regarding customer information.
Assist with Administrative Tasks: Support the dispensary's administrative functions by handling phone calls, managing emails, and performing general clerical duties. Assist with inventory tracking, restocking, and maintaining product databases as needed.
Stay Informed about Cannabis Industry Regulations: Keep up to date with local, state, and federal regulations related to the cannabis industry. Stay informed about any changes in laws, licensing requirements, or compliance standards that may affect the dispensary's operations.

A Receptionist assesses the customer’s needs and educates them on the benefits of various products. The ideal candidate should be dependable, and motivated and passionate about the customer service industry.
